이 논문은 급속한 도시화와 포스트모던 시대 속에서 도시선교와 교회 사역의 역할을 탐구한다. 전 세계 인구의 대부분이 도시에서 거주하는 현대 사회에서, 교회는 도시선교의 신학적 기초를 이해하고 이를 실질적으로 적용해야 한다. 본 논문은 성경적 맥락 속에서 도시 중심 선교의 전략적 중요성을 논의하고, 현대 도시의 다원적 문화와 사회적 도전 과제를 해결하기 위한 상황화 전략을 제시한다. 이 연구는 도시를 하나님의 정의, 평화, 사랑이 실현되는 종말론적 공간으로 재해석하며, 복음 전파와 사회적 책임을 통합하는 교회의 사명을 강조한다. 또한, 도시 환경에서 교회의 선교적 정체성을 회복하고 효과적으로 복음을 전달하기 위한 접근법을 제시하며, 도시 선교가 하나님의 나라 실현에 필수적임을 주장한다.

영문초록

This paper explores the role of urban missions and church ministries amidst rapid urbanization and the postmodern era. In a contemporary society where the majority of the global population resides in cities, the church must comprehend the theological foundations of urban missions and practically apply them. It discusses the strategic importance of urban-centered missions within biblical contexts and proposes contextualization strategies to address the pluralistic cultures and societal challenges of modern cities. The study reinterprets cities as eschatological spaces where God's justice, peace, and love are realized, emphasizing the church’s integrated mission of evangelism and social responsibility. It presents approaches for restoring the church’s missional identity and effectively communicating the gospel in urban settings, asserting that urban missions are essential for the realization of God’s kingdom.
